We are looking for
QA Engineer to join our company, in one of our projects, located in
Porto.
This position is for a Quality Assurance Engineer in the compliance, relations and communication services product line, responsible for quality assurance activities of ComplyLog and all regulatory technology solutions for issuers and advisors.
Tasks:
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications to create effective test plans.
- Design, write, and execute detailed test cases to validate software functionality and performance.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools, ensuring clear reproduction steps.
- Conduct regression testing to verify that new code changes do not negatively impact existing features.
- Perform exploratory and ad-hoc testing to uncover edge cases and unexpected issues.
- Validate user experience (UX) and usability, ensuring software is intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to improve software quality.
- Maintain detailed documentation of testing processes, test results, and quality metrics to support ongoing quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure adherence to company standards, security, and compliance requirements while following best QA practice
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps) and background in software testing for SAAS, Web and Mobile applications
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger, or SOAP UI).
- Basic understanding of SQL queries for database validation.
- Knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
- Experience with test automation concepts would be a plus (even if primarily a manual QA).
- Exposure to CI/CD environments and collaboration tools like Git, Jenkins, or Docker is beneficial.
- Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Proficiency in English is a must.
